Experience
I earned a bachelor's degree at John Carroll University in English and teaching. I then went on to Madonna University for my masters degree in learning disabilities. As an educator, I've taught special education and middle school and high school English. I'm comfortable working with students at any age and level of ability. As a tutor, I most like helping students with English language arts. I find it very gratifying to help students achieve success in learning. I want my students to work hard and feel a sense of accompaniment, but I also like to help students work efficiently by matching my teaching style to their learning style. I'm currently teaching special education to six graders. All in all I have about eight years of teaching experience. I'm looking forward to tutoring students in elementary school math, English the college level, special education, reading, writing, and test preparation. In my free time, I like to knit, crochet, do puzzles, read, do yoga, and go on hikes and walks with my family.
