I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health, while minoring in Urban and regional Planning for the Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. After earning my degree, I spent time teaching at an elementary level in Detroit, Michigan, as a 2012 Teach for America Corps member. My passion for teaching covers topics such as English and mathematics. In fact, I am one of the founders of KIPP Columbus Elementary. I have always enjoyed helping others and it means a lot to me when I am given the opportunity to help students reach their academic goals. It is a privilege to be able to use my education and experience to aid students in their individual studies. In order to maintain an effective technique for helping students, I work to relate the subject matter to real life examples. Have a realistic comparison helps the student better visualize the concepts and can help with overall understanding of the subject matter. I take great pride in doing everything in my power to ensure that everything is done to better the education and overall quality of life of the students that I have the privilege of working with on a day to day basis.
