Bachelors of Social Work and Minor in Spanish. University of Pittsburgh, class of 2013. I interned and then worked full-time with children and families. Masters of Social Work candidate, University of Michigan, class of 2016. I am concentrating in interpersonal practice and mental health. Menendez Pelayo University in Seville, Spain (studied Spanish literature and grammar) where I worked on improving my conversational skills.
Experience
I enjoy tutoring students because I love to see the progress they make. I make lessons interesting by incorporating different videos, songs, literature, and activities. I also learn a lot from my students, as I have tutored people from many different parts of the country and people of various ages and learning levels. Experience: I have been tutoring students and adults in ESL, Spanish, reading, writing, and other subjects for over five years. I currently tutor adults in ESL. Spanish classes taken: Literature, Spanish civilization, phonetics, grammar, composition, conversation -I assist Spanish speaking clients at my current internship. Reading/writing: AP Literature and Writing in high school. University of Pittsburgh: creative writing, fiction writing, poetry composition, advanced composition. Additional experience: I currently tutor ESL students. I was a summer camp associate at Community Action Network where I ran a literacy camp. America Reads tutor in college.
